What is Lent?
Lent is a season in the church calendar that begins 40 days prior to Easter Sunday. This season is a time of intentional preparation where we begin to look ahead towards Easter, but we don’t overlook the cross and the price that Jesus paid for us all.
Historically, Christians have fasted during this season; not to earn God’s favor, but to create space to pray, refocus and remember the sacrifice of Jesus and what it cost Him to go to the cross for us.
We’ve created a simple digital guide that explains the season. This guide includes a suggested weekly fasting rhythm.
