What is Family Commissioning?

Family Commissioning is an opportunity for parents to publicly affirm their commitment to raising their children to know, love, and follow Jesus. It’s a time to celebrate children as a gift from God and recognize the responsibility He has entrusted to parents to nurture their child’s faith and love for Him.

This moment acknowledges that while parents play the primary role in their child’s spiritual formation, they do not walk this journey alone. Family Commissioning also expresses the partnership between families and the church. Disciple-making begins in the home and is strengthened within the community of faith.

This practice reflects God’s call for parents to teach and guide their children in His ways (Proverbs 22:6), and for God’s people to be set apart for His purposes (Psalm 4:3).

Our next Family Commissioning is: March 15, 2026.
